Life coach · for women
Life coaching for women Your next chapter, with clarity & confidence.
Coaching for women ready to move forward.
Midlife, a career shift, an empty nest, or simply a quiet sense that something needs to change — these moments ask a lot of us. As a life coach working exclusively with women, I offer a warm, judgement-free space to help you reconnect with what matters, find your footing, and step forward with purpose.
Sessions are one to one, and we can meet however suits you: in person in Shrewsbury and the surrounding Shropshire towns, or online by video call from anywhere. Either way we start with a free discovery call, and there is no obligation to book anything after it.

Most of the women I work with arrive at one of four crossroads. You may recognise more than one — they rarely turn up neatly on their own.
-
Navigating life transitions
Midlife, divorce, an empty nest, retirement, reinvention. When the shape of your life changes, the old answers stop fitting. We work out what you actually want the next chapter to look like.
-
Career & confidence
A career change, a return to work after a break, or the sense that you have outgrown the role you are in. We look at direction, self-belief and where the balance has slipped.
-
Wellness & mindset
Stress that has become the background hum of your week. We build calmer thinking, boundaries that hold, and space for looking after yourself that does not get given away first.
-
Purpose & self-worth
The quiet question underneath the rest: who am I now, and what do I want next? We reconnect you with what matters to you, rather than what is expected of you.
Is this you?
You do not need a crisis to work with a coach.
Plenty of women put off asking for help because nothing is obviously wrong. Coaching is just as useful when things are fine on paper but something still feels off. Any of these sound familiar?
- You have spent years looking after everyone else and lost track of what you want.
- Something in your life has changed — and you are not sure who you are on the other side of it.
- You keep starting things and losing momentum a few weeks in.
- You are capable and competent at work, and quietly doubt yourself anyway.
- The children have left home and the house, and the days, feel different.
- You want a change of direction but cannot see the first step.
- You are tired of talking yourself out of things before you begin.
- You would like to think something through with someone who is entirely on your side.
About Belinda
A calm, steady space made just for you.
I work exclusively with women, one to one, because the pressures of midlife, motherhood, and career rarely fit a generic mould. Every session is shaped around where you are right now.
No judgement, no scripts — just a grounded conversation that helps you think clearly and move forward.
Coaching with me is not advice, and it is not therapy. I will not hand you a plan I wrote in advance. I ask the questions that help you hear your own thinking, notice the patterns you have stopped seeing, and decide what you want to do about them. What you say stays between us.
If you are weighing this up, the guide to what life coaching actually involves covers how sessions work, how coaching differs from therapy, and the questions worth asking any coach before you commit.
How it works
Simple to start, easy to stop.
There is no package to sign up to and no minimum commitment. We can meet in person around Shrewsbury, or online by video call — and you can switch between the two as your weeks demand.
-
Free discovery call
A relaxed, no-pressure conversation about what is going on and what you would like to be different. Free, with no obligation to book anything afterwards. If I am not the right coach for you, I will say so.
-
Regular sessions
Around 45 minutes, one to one, in person or online, on a rhythm that fits around your life rather than a fixed timetable. Each session starts from wherever you are that week, not from a script.
-
Steady support
Carry on for as long as it is useful and stop when it is not. Some women want a handful of sessions to get unstuck; others keep a standing slot through a longer change. Both are fine.
Sessions & fees
One clear price, published.
Most coaches make you book a call to find out what they charge. I would rather you knew before you picked up the phone.
£60 per session
Free discovery call
- No packages, and no minimum number of sessions to commit to.
- Pay as you go — stop whenever it has stopped being useful.
- The same price whether we meet in person or online.
- No charge for the first conversation, ever.
Where we meet
A life coach in Shrewsbury — or wherever you are.
I live and work in Shrewsbury, and I meet women face to face across Shropshire: Telford, Oswestry, Church Stretton, Wem, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton and out towards the mid-Wales border. Sessions are held somewhere quiet and neutral that we agree in advance.
If you are further afield, or you simply prefer it, everything I do works just as well online by video call. Some women never meet me in person and get exactly as much from it; others start online and move to meeting up once we know each other. There is no right way round.

Things women ask before booking.
How much does a life coach cost in the UK?
It varies a great deal across the country. UK coaches usually charge either per session or for a block booked together, and experience, session length and how often you meet all move the number. Many do not publish a rate at all.
I charge £60 a session, and a session runs about 45 minutes. That is the same price whether we meet in person or online. There are no packages and no minimum number of sessions — you pay as you go and stop whenever it has stopped being useful.
The first conversation, the discovery call, is free, and there is no obligation to book anything after it.
What does a life coach actually do?
A life coach helps you think clearly about where you are and decide what you want to do next. In practice that means asking the questions that surface your own thinking, reflecting back the patterns you have stopped noticing, and helping you turn a vague sense of "something needs to change" into a decision you can act on.
A coach does not tell you how to live, diagnose you, or hand you a pre-written plan. The direction is yours; my job is to help you see it clearly and keep moving toward it.
What is the difference between a life coach and a therapist?
Broadly, therapy tends to look backwards to understand and treat distress that has its roots in the past. Coaching looks forwards: it starts from where you are now and works towards what you want next.
Coaching is not a treatment for mental illness and is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If what you are carrying would be better served by a therapist or your GP, I will tell you that on the discovery call rather than take the booking. Some women do both, and that works well.
Is life coaching worth it?
It is worth it when you are ready to change something and would think better with someone alongside you. It is not worth it if you are hoping to be told what to do — you will get more out of a few honest sessions than a long programme you are not invested in.
That is exactly what the free discovery call is for. It costs you nothing to find out whether this is the right thing for you right now, and I would rather you left that call knowing it is not than book sessions that will not help.
Are sessions online or in person?
Either. I meet women in person in and around Shrewsbury, and I also work online by video call — which means we can work together wherever you are. Plenty of women mix the two: in person when the diary allows, online when it does not.
In-person sessions are held at a quiet, neutral venue we agree beforehand — not at my home or yours. If you would rather start online and meet later, or never meet in person at all, that is completely fine.
Which areas do you cover for in-person sessions?
Shrewsbury and the surrounding Shropshire towns — including Telford, Oswestry, Church Stretton, Wem, Bridgnorth and Market Drayton — and the mid-Wales border. If you are a little further out, ask; I travel for the right fit, and there is always the online option.
Do you only work with women?
Yes. I work exclusively with women, one to one. The pressures of midlife, motherhood, caring and career rarely fit a generic mould, and working with one group closely is what lets me start from an understanding of them rather than an explanation of them.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number. Some women come with a specific decision to make and are done in a handful of sessions. Others keep a regular slot through a longer transition and stop when it has run its course.
There is no fixed programme and no minimum commitment, so you are never paying for sessions you have stopped needing.
What happens on the free discovery call?
We talk. You tell me what is going on and what you would like to be different; I will ask a few questions and explain how I work. It is a conversation, not an assessment, and there is nothing to prepare.
By the end you will know what working together would look like and what it would cost, and you can take as long as you like to think about it. There is no obligation to book.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you bring to a session stays between us. The only exceptions are the ones the law requires of anyone — a genuine risk of serious harm to you or someone else — and I would talk to you about it first wherever that is possible.
